Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed Prof Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
The appointment, announced Monday by the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, takes effect immediately. Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, a globally renowned development economist and Senior Special Adviser to the President of the African Development Bank, will lead a seven-member council mandated to reposition the hospital for excellence in healthcare, education, and research.
Other members include Mr. Olatunde Gabriel Oyelade, Dr. Bello Adebayo Taiwo, Mrs. Isola Agnes Bolanle, Dr. Akintunde Kehinde Ayinde, Prof. Olawale Adebayo Olakulehin, and Prof. Adenike Olugbenga-Bello.
Meanwhile, Governor Makinde also approved the appointment of Comrade Adeniyi Babatunde as Chairman of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, alongside seven other members. He urged all appointees to serve with integrity and commitment, noting that the new appointments are in line with his administration’s broader reforms to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in Oyo State.
