The programme targets recent alumni and graduating students from African Health Collaborative partner universities who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to returning home to strengthen their country’s health systems.

Up to three fully funded scholarships will be awarded. The package covers tuition, travel, housing, food, books, and other expenses for the duration of the programme.  Scholars will also benefit from orientation sessions, a strong support network, and resources to aid both their academic transition in Toronto and reintegration upon return to their home countries.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen and resident of a Sub-Saharan African country.
  • Must be a graduate of an Africa Health Collaborative partner institution and not yet enrolled in a doctoral programme.
  • Must demonstrate academic distinction and leadership potential.
  • Must meet admission requirements for the DrPH programme.
  • Must commit to returning home for the final two years of the programme to contribute to social and economic development.

Applicants are required to review programme requirements, then register for one of the mandatory virtual information sessions before submitting their application.
