The National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) has unveiled its 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, outlining a clear roadmap to transform Nigeria’s seed industry through the adoption of technology, enhanced quality assurance, and financial sustainability.
Unveiling the plan at a validation workshop in Abuja on Friday, NASC Director-General Fatuhu Muhammed said the initiative aims to reposition the Council as a modern, digital, and transparent regulator.
The new framework is expected to provide solutions to challenges farmers face in the area of seed production and distribution.
The plan also emphasises innovation, accountability, and private sector participation in the agricultural process.
