The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is set to open the student loan portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In preparation for this, the body has urged accredited tertiary institutions to update their students’ records and upload the necessary documents.
Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the NELFund’s Director of Strategic Communications, stressed that only students whose documents and records are uploaded can apply for the loan in the new academic session.
NELFund acknowledged the role of tertiary institutions in the disbursement of the student loans and encouraged them to further cooperate with it to achieve its goals.
