The Nigerian Navy has celebrated the passing-out parade of the 2025 set of Young Sailors at its training school in Ikot Ntuen, Akwa Ibom State.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, represented at the ceremony by the Chief of Administration of the Nigerian Navy School, Rear Admiral Gabriel Aligwe, congratulated the graduating class for completing their training.
“My advice to them is to continue to pursue their dreams and stay resilient. Many of them will be absorbed into the military, some into the Nigerian Defence Academy and others into the Nigerian Navy. The training they have received is meant to give them proper grounding for a rewarding career in the military,” Ogalla added.
He emphasised that the training provided at the Nigerian Navy School was designed not just to instil technical competence, but also the values of dedication, patriotism, and discipline that define the naval profession.
Governor, Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ubong Umoh, also praised the efforts of the new sailors. He encouraged them to uphold the virtues of discipline, hard work, and integrity as they head into bigger responsibilities.
