Baptist Academy, Lagos, one of the oldest educational institutions in Nigeria, has continued to make good its promise of building students who are values-driven in education, arming them with all the necessary skills to excel locally and internationally, across various fields of endeavour.
These are the claims of Olumide Ajomale, President of the Baptist Academy Old Students’ Association (BAOSA), has said. Speaking at a press conference to unveil the series of activities to mark the 170th anniversary of the school, Ajomale, said this anniversary is a milestone that offers the school a chance to showcase its enduring relevance and re-ignite a collective vision for the next century.
According to him, the landmark celebration themed “Legacy, Excellence, and Community” is not just about history, but impact, as the school has contributed to national development, producing leaders in education, business, the clergy, public service, the arts, media, sports, and virtually every sector.
Ajomale added that the Old Students Association will, during the anniversary months, launch a long-term development project within the school with funds raised through the N1bn BAOSA Infrastructure Development Fund (BIDF).
