The University of the Niger (UNINIGER), Umunya, Anambra State, has announced its list of accredited courses for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The institution, one of Nigeria’s newest private universities, said the approval followed the National Universities Commission’s (NUC) accreditation process, which is required for courses to be officially recognised.
University officials stated that the accreditation encompasses undergraduate programmes across several faculties, including sciences, social sciences, management, and humanities. The approval means prospective students can now apply for places on the courses in line with admission requirements set by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
UNINIGER, established to promote education, research, and innovation, has been positioning itself as a destination for students within and outside Nigeria.
The university said the accreditation will give students clarity on career prospects and provide assurance that their qualifications will be recognised nationally. It added that further details, including admission requirements and faculty breakdowns, are available through its admissions office. The development is expected to boost enrolment at the institution in the upcoming session.
