The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Postgraduate College of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. The award recognises his outstanding contributions to education, public service, and national development.
Professor Adebooye, represented by his Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adetunji Lawrence Kehinde, received the honour after OAU conducted a thorough search for individuals making a significant impact in academia. The Provost of the OAU Postgraduate College, Professor Victor Folorunso Olaleye, described him as a visionary leader who is raising the standard of education in Nigeria.
In his response, Professor Adebooye said the award is a sign that his hard work is being noticed. He dedicated it to the progress at UNIOSUN and its commitment to global excellence.
