The Vice-Chancellor of Wigwe University in Isiokpo, Rivers State, Professor Marwan Al-Akaidi, has reiterated the school’s commitment to providing world-class education after receiving praise from the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) team.
Led by Dr Charles Ariye, the PAP group visited the university’s modern buildings and praised its leaders for creating a learning environment similar to the best schools in the world. Ariye called Wigwe University a “national blessing” and said its facilities make it unnecessary for Nigerians to study overseas.
Professor Al-Akaidi said the school will continue to follow the dream of its late founder, Dr Herbert Wigwe, to provide creative and life-changing education. He noted its focus on high academic standards, leadership growth, and important research.
Rivers State PAP Manager, Mr. Kenneth Odoko, also praised the school for raising future leaders and told parents to take early child training seriously. The visit ended with a tour of the university’s top facilities.
