Oluwadamilare Dauda, a PhD student at the Osun State University, has received a French science award for his research on the transmission of river blindness. The French Embassy said that Dauda received the Young Scientist Award from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse, France, in honour of his research, which complements disease control efforts in the southwest.
In the same vein, the embassy noted that the award allowed Dauda to enhance his expertise in disease vectors and learn with other researchers in Toulouse. Responding to the award, Dauda appreciated the French embassy and his university for their support.
