Dr. Ademola Ebeloku, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State
The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Dr Ademola Ebeloku, has called for stronger stakeholder support to ease the institution’s financial constraints.
He appealed on Tuesday during a press briefing ahead of the school’s second combined convocation and 10th anniversary celebration. Ebeloku acknowledged the institution’s progress but stressed that funding remains a critical bottleneck.
According to him, the polytechnic continues to explore ways to boost its internally generated revenue but cannot sustain long-term development without external backing.
He urged Nigerians and education advocates to collaborate with the institution, while noting the consistent support received from the Federal Government, TETFUND, and NBTE over the years.
Ebeloku announced that 3,901 students from the 2019–2025 academic sessions will graduate next week, including 29 Higher National Diploma students with distinctions. Another 259 Ordinary National Diploma students earned distinctions, while 935 finished with upper credit.
He commended the unions, staff, and students for contributing to the school’s growth, highlighting recent achievements such as programme accreditation, improved infrastructure, expanded ICT capacity, strengthened collaborations, and a fully equipped entrepreneurship centre designed to prepare students for job creation rather than reliance on white-collar employment.
