Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has warned prospective students and the general public about fraudulent activities by scammers posing as school representatives.
According to a statement released by the school management, fake payment details are being circulated online and through direct messages, urging unsuspecting applicants to pay an “eligibility fee” as part of the admission process.
The scammers reportedly provided fraudulent account details, including Paybill Records for RUN as the account name, 6004880363 as the account number, and Beststar MFB as the bank. They also demanded a fee of ₦128,200, claiming it was mandatory for securing admission.
However, the university has made it clear that this is not an official payment request and has nothing to do with its admission process. The management has provided an official line for inquiries and verifications to assist applicants in avoiding scams.
Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to the school’s admissions office via the official phone number: 07044482305.
