Some candidates who participated in the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Post-UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session have raised concerns over technical issues experienced during the exercise.
Several candidates alleged that despite following examination guidelines, their results either disappeared from the portal or did not reflect their performance.
One candidate reported that his submission initially displayed a “Finish” message, but later changed to “Stopped” and eventually showed “No examination found.” Others shared similar experiences, with many expressing fears that their efforts may be wrongly invalidated.
Some of the candidates took to social media to share screenshots and testimonies of the reported glitches. They expressed fears of being unfairly penalised or misclassified under examination malpractice.
In response, UNILAG’s Communication Unit stated on September 5, 2025, confirming that the screening was successfully conducted, with 20,464 candidates participating between September 1 and 4.
The university maintained that the process was well-coordinated but confirmed that some candidates were flagged for malpractice, stressing its zero-tolerance stance toward infractions. The statement noted that candidates found guilty of violating examination rules would be declared ineligible for admission after due investigation.
