A three-day regional forum bringing together graduates of Saudi universities from Nigeria and neighbouring countries will open on Monday in Abuja.
The event, organised under the patronage of Saudi universities, aims to strengthen collaboration among Saudi-educated professionals across West and Central Africa and examine their contributions to sustainable development.
The Saudi Embassy’s Press Attaché in Nigeria, Mohammed Alsahabi, confirmed the development in a statement.
Delegates from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, and Gabon are expected to attend the forum, which will feature sessions on education, agriculture, media, and economic development. Discussions will also highlight community-based projects such as cattle fattening for food security and cooperative microfinance schemes to support small businesses.
According to the organisers, academic experts from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia will explore how higher education can drive national transformation, while case studies from participating countries will showcase how Saudi-trained professionals are applying their skills to address local challenges.
The forum is also expected to reinforce Saudi-African partnerships in education and innovation, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
