The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, has challenged the management of Federal Polytechnic Ayede to raise the bar and work towards turning the institution into a university soon. The monarch gave this charge during his visit to the school’s temporary site in Iresapa, Surulere LGA.
He encouraged the Rector, Engr. Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed, to establish a solid foundation, like Prof. Oluwasanmi did at the University of Ife, noting that good leadership is key to lasting success. He also asked that Ogbomoso indigenes be given more job opportunities in the school. The Soun, who visited alongside other royal fathers, later toured the permanent site in Ayede and promised support to help the institution grow. He also paid a courtesy visit to the Aresa of Iresapa, Oba Moses Ajiboye. The Rector thanked the monarch and promised to build a strong institution.
