In a bid to boost digital skills and job readiness, the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, has secured accreditation as a Cisco Networking Academy Learning Centre: the Rector, Engr. Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed stated that the new centre will benefit students, staff, and the host community by providing training in areas such as cybersecurity, networking, programming, and digital literacy.
Speaking through the school’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, the Rector described the move as a significant step towards global relevance and innovation for the institution. He explained that students will now have access to internationally recognised certifications, thereby increasing their chances of employment in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. The programme will also provide staff with industry-standard training, while the host community is expected to benefit from economic growth through improved partnerships and a more skilled workforce. Dr Abdul-Hameed assured that the institution remains committed to academic and technological excellence.
