Teach For Nigeria (TFN) has inducted 502 new Fellows and 93 school leaders into its flagship fellowship program aimed at transforming education in underserved communities.
The induction, held under the theme “One Classroom, Infinite Possibilities. The Future Is Now!”, brought together the ninth cohort of Fellows and the fifth group of school leaders. The school teachers on the programme were trained in teaching and leadership skills to empower students across public schools in Lagos and Ogun States.
Since its launch in 2017, TFN has deployed 2,463 Fellows to classrooms in Lagos, Ogun, Kaduna, and Oyo, reaching thousands of children with improved learning opportunities. This year, more than 40,000 people applied, but only 595 were selected for the 2025 intake.
TFN’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Molade Adeniyi, charged the new Fellows to view themselves as nation-builders. At the same time, keynote speaker Mrs. Rhoda Odigboh emphasised that the program is helping to reimagine Nigeria’s education system for long-term change.
