Mr. Tunji Bello, and his wife, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello
The University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) Worldwide will honour the Executive Vice Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Mr Tunji Bello, and his wife, the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.
According to the association, Prof. Olatunji-Bello will receive the “Worthy Ambassador” Award for her leadership, service, and contributions to academic excellence and institutional development at LASU. The award recognises alumni whose work reflects purposeful leadership and national impact.
Mr Bello will be conferred with the “Meritorious Service” Award for his contributions to public service, journalism, philanthropy, and governance.
His career spans roles as a newspaper editor, Lagos State commissioner, Secretary to the State Government, and now a senior federal public official.
The ceremony in Abuja will be chaired by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, with Vice President Kashim Shettima, SGF Senator George Akume, and other dignitaries listed as special honourees.
