The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fujian Jiangxia University in China to promote teacher-student exchange and other collaborative initiatives. The visit was led by Professor Ling Quidan, President of Fujian Jiangxia University. The Vice Chancellor of UNIBEN, Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, welcomed the team, accompanied by senior university officials. He spoke about Benin culture and the university’s role in training skilled workers for Nigeria’s progress.
Professor Omoregie stated that the partnership supports UNIBEN’s goal of fostering international ties and promoting sustainable development. Professor Quidan praised UNIBEN’s innovation and said he believes the partnership will help both universities grow. The MOU will focus on teacher and student exchanges, joint scientific research, and other cooperative projects to strengthen the two institutions.
