The University of Ilorin has celebrated the appointment of one of its distinguished alumni, Professor Lateef Folorunso Oladimeji, as the sixth substantive Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. The appointment, recently announced by Al-Hikmah’s Governing Council, marks a significant milestone in Prof. Oladimeji’s academic leadership journey, following his previous service as the institution’s Deputy Vice Chancellor.
In a congratulatory message issued by UNILORIN’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN), described Prof. Oladimeji’s elevation as a testament to his dedication, integrity, and contributions to the development of the faith-based university. UNILORIN, which has played a key mentorship role in Al-Hikmah’s growth, expressed pride in continuing to produce leaders who shape higher education in Nigeria. Prof. Egbewole wished Prof. Oladimeji a peaceful and impactful tenure.
