The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, has praised Lotus Bank for opening a new branch on the university’s main campus in Osogbo. During a visit on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, he described the move as a smart step towards financial inclusion for students and staff.
He stated that the bank would profit from the university’s large student body of over 13,000 and its many staff members. The Vice Chancellor urged the bank to collaborate with staff unions and cooperatives to offer more valuable services. Lotus Bank’s Branch Manager, Mrs Oluwadunsin Adekanmi, expressed gratitude to the university for the warm reception. She noted that the bank would soon introduce interest-free banking and complimentary Wi-Fi for its customers. This is the first bank on any UNIOSUN campus. The Vice-Chancellor also promised that he and other officers would open accounts with the bank, showing full support for the new partnership.
