Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing the next generation of Nigerian leaders through mentorship and character development.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Adamu Ahmed pledged the maiden edition of “Lunch With the Vice Chancellor – ABU Future Leaders’ Forum” held as part of activities marking the university’s 63rd anniversary.
Prof. Ahmed said the initiative was designed to prepare students for leadership roles by instilling knowledge, integrity, and responsibility. He reminded students that ABU has a proud history of producing presidents, governors, ministers, and other top professionals across Nigeria and beyond.
The event, which was sponsored by banker and entrepreneur Muhtar Bakare, gave students the chance to interact closely with the university’s management and also learn from experienced professionals. While speaking to the participants, Prof. Ahmed advised them to blend their youthful energy with the wisdom of older generations.
