The Anambra State Government has arrested and detained the assailants of Jennifer Elobor, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.
In a viral video, a group of uniformed men was seen storming a corps member’s lodge, claiming the occupants to be fraudsters despite presenting their NYSC uniforms and identity cards. The footage further reveals the men beating Elobor and leaving her not fully clothed.
Ken Emeakayi, the Special Adviser on Community Security to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, described the incident as unfortunate, emphasising that the attackers are in custody and being investigated.
