Bayelsa State has entered a significant partnership with the State of Africa in the Diaspora to boost development in education, health, and agriculture.
The agreement was signed at the Government House in Yenagoa, with Governor Douye Diri representing Bayelsa State and Dr Louis-Georges Tin signing for the Diaspora group.
Governor Diri described the deal as a significant step toward transforming the state’s economy and improving the lives of its people. He thanked Africans in the Diaspora for choosing to invest in Bayelsa and stressed that Africans must take charge of their own development.
He expressed confidence that the partnership would yield visible results before the end of his administration in 2028.
According to him, the collaboration shows how Africans can build Africa through shared effort and innovation. The agreement is expected to attract technical support, capacity building, and investment to strengthen key sectors of Bayelsa’s economy.
