Henkel Nigeria, a leading German multinational company, has shown concern about supporting quality STEM education in the country. The company disclosed in a statement that it was incorporating the educational scheme in its Forscherwet (Researchers’ World) initiative. The programme will focus on hands-on science learning as a way for children to explore the fascinating world of science.
Rajat Kapur, Managing Director of Henkel Nigeria, stated that the company recently concluded an initiative for young children in collaboration with one of its partners, the Girls and Women Empowerment and Technological Organisation (GWETO) in Lagos.
“At Henkel, we are committed to supporting meaningful learning in STEM opportunities for children both in and beyond the classroom. Our participation in the Omole Phase 2 Children’s Day event reflects our commitment to fostering healthy habits and scientific curiosity in young children. Collaborating with our partner, GWETO, allows us to extend the impact of our Forscherwelt programme and help nurture the next generation of informed and inspired minds”, Kapur stated.
Last year in September, Henkel Nigeria partnered with the Silverbird Group to celebrate individuality and empowerment. The company vows to continue empowering the youth on a National level. With its GWETO partnership, the initiative will benefit young ones struggling with education.
