Niccolò Pagliarani, named an Under 35 Excellence winner at the 12th Premio Italia Giovane
Niccolò Pagliarani, researcher at the BioRobotics Institute of Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, has been named an Under 35 Excellence winner at the 12th Premio Italia Giovane.
He also received the Special AI Mention for his outstanding contributions to biorobotics and commitment to professional growth.
The award ceremony was held on November 25 at Villa Blanc, LUISS Business School, Rome, celebrating young talents advancing Italy’s scientific and professional industry.
Sponsored by the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, and the Italian Youth Agency, the initiative recognises individuals under 35 whose innovative work addresses societal challenges and transforms ideas into practical solutions.
At 28, Pagliarani has built a distinguished career in soft robotics, studying Biomedical Engineering and Bionics at the University of Bologna and Sant’Anna School, with research experiences at Harvard, NASA, and EPFL in Switzerland.
His work focuses on flexible robotic systems for delicate object manipulation, combining technological innovation with societal relevance.
