The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Is-haq Oloyede, has overseen the staff promotion exams for the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
In a statement, JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin said that Prof. Oloyede thanked TETFund and other agencies for entrusting JAMB to conduct the exams.
He also appreciated the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and other organisations for their ongoing cooperation with JAMB.
Commending TETFund for its proactive decision to engage JAMB, Prof. Oloyede affirmed that the board is committed to providing exceptional examination services to those who value integrity and trust in the examination process.
“Although the Board faced difficulties this year, looking back on the challenges faced by the Board this year, Prof. Oloyede emphasised that while he accepts responsibility for the events that transpired, this does not excuse any stakeholder, including Board staff, from neglecting their duties.”
Oloyede also assured that the board would take appropriate action against any dereliction of duty.
He highlighted his commitment to exploring innovative examinations and expressed gratitude that the examination was conducted without any difficulty, as there were no reports indicating leakage or any other issues.
