Former Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has urged Nigerians to join forces in the fight against corruption, stressing that no single institution can win the battle alone.
Speaking at the induction of the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN), Magu stated that the war against graft must encompass all sectors of society, including security agencies, the judiciary, schools, professional bodies, and the general public.
The retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, who was also inducted as a Fellow of CIFCFIN, pledged to remain active in the fight against corruption. The former anti-corruption czar emphasised that the fight requires collective responsibility and sustained commitment from every citizen.
Magu’s comment reinforced the call for a coordinated approach to corruption, which is widely seen as one of Nigeria’s most significant challenges.
