Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has approved its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, with resumption set for October 11, 2025.
According to the Senate’s decision on September 18, fresh students will arrive in phases: those in Administration, Arts, Education, Law, Social Sciences, and Environmental Design and Management on October 11, while students in Agriculture, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology will resume on October 12.
Online course registration begins on October 13, followed by orientation and ICT training programmes running through late October. Returning undergraduates are expected to return to campus by October 26, with lectures starting on October 27. The key events include the matriculation ceremony on December 3, 2025. The Harmattan Semester will last until March 2026, followed by the Rain Semester from March 30.
The university said the calendar is designed to provide a structured and flexible academic year that fosters innovation and holistic student development.
