The Provost of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Dr Lasisi A. Jimoh, has been named the Best Provost (State) in the Southwest by the Committee of Public Relations and Information Officers in Colleges of Education, Nigeria (COPRECOEN).
The award was presented during COPRECOEN’s 28th Anniversary and Annual General Meeting, held on October 2, 2025, at the Chukwuemeka Ezeife Conference Hall, National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), Abuja.
COPRECOEN National President, Dr Chukwuebuka Obi, presented the award to Dr Jimoh in recognition of his outstanding leadership and developmental strides at the college. The event was attended by education leaders, including the Executive Secretary of NCCE, Prof Paulinus Okwelle, and Provosts from other state and federal colleges of education.
In his acceptance remarks, Jimoh dedicated the award to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, lauding his support for education reform and infrastructure development.
He described the recognition as a testament to the college’s collective achievements in academic excellence, human capital growth, and institutional advancement.
