Parents in Awka have welcomed the Federal Government’s decision to make tuition at Federal Science and Technical Colleges free, describing it as a significant relief.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, they stated that the move demonstrates President Bola Tinubu’s concern for the masses and his commitment to building Nigeria’s future through science and technical education.
One of the parents, Mrs Amaechi Okolo, whose child was recently admitted into one of the colleges, said the policy would boost productivity and also help reduce the number of out-of-school children.
Many parents believe the initiative highlights the importance of technical education as a key driver for national development and industrial growth.
