Umo Eno Unveils Akwa Ibom’s Most Advanced Rural Primary School

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality education with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Model Primary School in Ikot Isong, Etinan Local Government Area.

Represented by his Political Adviser, Prince Godwin Udeh, the governor described the project as a milestone in the ARISE Agenda, saying the facilities set a new benchmark for rural education. “This investment is exceptional. Governor Umo Eno is a visionary leader who is not just building schools but creating future-ready learning environments,” Udeh said.

The school boasts modern amenities, including a fully equipped computer laboratory, an on-site medical clinic, solar-powered energy systems, a 500-seat auditorium, a standard football field, and furnished staff quarters. Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Mr Uko Umoh, praised the governor as a promise-keeper, recalling that the school was commissioned barely a month after the unveiling of the Ibom Paint Factory. He announced the donation of 20,000 exercise books and 250 uniforms to pupils of the new model school.

Commissioner for Education, Prof Ubong Essien, lauded the project as a game-changer for rural education. At the same time, the Paramount Ruler of Etinan, HRM Edidem A. M. Akpan Obong, hailed Eno as a leader who focuses on building the future rather than the next election. The ceremony ended with the inspection of the facilities, which have been described as the most advanced in rural Akwa Ibom.
