UNILORIN Launches Anti-Corruption, Transparency Unit

The University of Ilorin has launched its Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), as part of its efforts to strengthen the fight against corruption within the University system.

The inauguration ceremony was held last Monday (June 30, 2025) at the University Auditorium Basement. Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting the newly inaugurated ACTU.

The Vice Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Adegboyega Adisa Fawole, congratulated the new ACTU members on their appointment and urged them to carry out their duties diligently. He charged them to deploy all the powers entrusted to them to eradicate corrupt practices on campus.
