The Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC), Kabba, has received solar-powered streetlights donated by Rt Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives.
The project, facilitated by Faleke, who also chairs the House Committee on Finance, has been installed across the school compound to improve security, safety, and learning conditions.
For years, FGGC Kabba struggled with poor lighting after dark, raising safety concerns for students. Parents and teachers described the intervention as timely, emphasising its importance in addressing insecurity and creating a more conducive educational environment.
Faleke, who hails from Kogi State, has previously facilitated several education, healthcare, and infrastructure projects both in Lagos and Kogi.
The Owe community in Kabba commended the initiative, describing it as a valuable contribution to the welfare of students and the promotion of girl-child education.
