The Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science Technology (FCMLST), Jos, has officially commenced National Diploma (ND II) Direct Admission (Recertification) for Medical Laboratory Technologists. The college has also opened applications for short-term certificate courses in Applied Immunology and Vaccine Science, Phlebotomy, and Mortuary Science.
Eligible candidates for the ND II recertification include holders of an Ordinary Diploma (OD) in Medical Laboratory Technology or registered students of recognised Nigerian tertiary institutions, as well as professionals with an MLT license seeking an academic qualification. Applicants must possess five O’level credits in Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, and Physics obtained within two sittings.
Applicants for the short-term certificate programmes should hold relevant qualifications, including BMLS, BSc in Biomedical Sciences, OD, or ND in Medical Laboratory Technology, with some courses requiring at least one year of laboratory or mortuary experience.
Application requires payment of a non-refundable ₦10,000 fee via Remita, and candidates must present original credentials, passport photograph, and payment receipt during registration. Screening will take place from October 1 to 9, 2025, at 10:00 am at the College Assembly Hall.
