Kaduna State University (KASU) has held a public presentation and book launch to honour Rev. (Dr.) Yunusa Sabi Nmadu Jnr, highlighting the intersections of faith, the Church, and service to humanity.
The event, held on October 11 2025, featured the book titled Faith, Church, and Service to Humanity, which was formally unveiled by Prof. Barnabas Williams Qurix, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Kachia. Prof. Qurix praised Rev. Nmadu’s lifelong commitment to education, faith, and community development.
Hon. Yakubu Dogara, CFR, who chaired the occasion, described the book as essential reading for students, scholars, public servants, and religious leaders, noting the Church’s critical role in societal service.
Prof. Helen Afang Andow, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of KASU, said the work effectively explores Christianity as both a spiritual and civic responsibility, emphasising the connection between faith and community engagement.
Rev. Nmadu expressed gratitude to God, his family, and the clergy for their support, clarifying that he was not the author of the book. He announced that all proceeds from sales would fund scholarships for students of Christian Religious Knowledge and Religious Studies.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Rev. Fr. George Odafe, CPC Chairman, who commended the university management and the organising committee for their support in celebrating the honouree’s contributions to faith and scholarship.
