Students of the Kwara State University (KWASU) have been reported to experience constant robbery attacks in their hostels. Investigations revealed that about six hostels have been robbed repeatedly since the year began.
According to reports, when Westend Hostel was robbed, officials like Moryam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, the executive chairman of Moro Local Government Area (LGA), and members of the student union government visited the scene.
Following the incident, Omotayo donated ₦1 million and promised to mobilise 10 vigilante officers to the hostel area. The police also promised to enhance security, while the student union government assured them of offering support.
