The National Universities Commission (NUC) has announced multiple job openings at its headquarters. The NUC is now inviting applications from qualified Nigerians into officer, confidential secretary, and clerical/auxiliary staff cadres.
In a public notice, the Commission directed interested candidates to apply through its Careers Portal at careers.nuc.edu.ng or nuc.edu.ng within six weeks of the announcement. It stressed that the application process is free and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
For the officer cadre, positions include Senior Officer, Trainee/Officer I, and Trainee Officer II. The Senior Officer role requires a PhD or a Master’s degree, along with a minimum of six years of experience. Applicants for Officer I must hold a Master’s degree or a first degree, plus three years of experience. Officer II candidates are expected to hold a first degree in a discipline relevant to the Commission’s mandate.
The recruitment drive reflects NUC’s effort to strengthen its workforce in regulating and advancing university education across Nigeria.
