Popular Osun Lawmaker, Hon. Adewunmi Adeyemi, has given free NECO Forms to 45 students within his constituency.
Adeyemi bore the responsibility of helping the poor masses with their education. The parents of the beneficiaries described Adeyemi as the hero of the town and one who knows the pain of the poor. The lawmaker is back in the news, shortly after sponsoring more than 100 out-of-school students in his constituency.
He disclosed his intention to help more students gain access to quality education, acknowledging the country’s hardships. He emphasised that the academic journey is one of the best tools in life. Adewunmi noted, “Education remains my top priority. I will continue to do my best for our people, he vowed.”
In an interview conducted by the newsroom, Adekunle Tosin, a beneficiary, shared her appreciation for participating in the programme. She stated, “My parents had told me that I would miss this year’s NECO due to lack of funds, but she got so happy after she was informed about the promotional examination to pick selected students who would benefit from the scheme.”
Recall that Hon. Adeyemi has also begun interviews for shortlisted teachers across the State. The students and residents continue to praise his resilience in providing access to good education in the State. Hopes are high, and more scholarship schemes are set to launch.
